At Redemption Orlando we believe and teach the Bible. Below is an overview of our core beliefs.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is God who took on human flesh to reveal Himself to man and is the Savior of the world.
We believe the church is a family of believers. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and the members are those who have trusted, by faith, in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus for salvation. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and loving others.
We believe the Bible is God's divinely inspired word to man. Because the Bible is inspired, it is without error and totally true and trustworthy. All Scripture points to Christ, who is the focus of God's revelation to man.
We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the only basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places their faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment of their sin.
We believe man was created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him. However, our willful disobedience has separated us from Him. Therefore, man is incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.
We believe every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. Belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus initiates our relationship with God. At the same time, by more deeply trusting, embracing, and displaying the gospel we grow to look more like Jesus.
