Our Beliefs

The following are core beliefs that we believe are the foundation of the Christian faith. We understand there are a variety of beliefs on secondary issues, and at Redemption Orlando we are "eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond peace" (Ephesians 4:3). We are not interested in dividing ourselves over secondary matters, but seek to show the world the Jesus that unites us is greater than the opinions that could divide us.

God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is God who took on human flesh to reveal Himself to man and is the Savior of the world.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is God's divinely inspired word to man. Because the Bible is  inspired, it is without error and totally true and trustworthy. All Scripture points to Christ, who is the focus of God's revelation to man.

Mankind

We believe man was created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him. However, our willful disobedience has separated us from Him. Therefore, man is incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

Salvation

We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the only basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places their faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment of their sin.

Church

We believe the church is a family of believers. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and the members are those who have trusted, by faith, in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus for salvation. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and loving others.

Christian Life

We believe every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. Belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus initiates our relationship with God. At the same time, when we spend time with Jesus, we become more like Jesus, and when we become like Jesus, we begin to do the things Jesus did.
